Personal Statement
I joined the fast paced beauty industry in 2009 as a spa consultant for Virgin Active. I have always been a very driven individual and this combined with my passion for the industry enabled me to increase my knowledge and skills in various roles over the years.
After many years experience in the UK, In February 2016 I relocated to Dubai, UAE where I changed job role but stayed within the industry and became an educator for 'The Healing Zone Academy.' Here, I taught students from around the world internationally recognized beauty, spa and wellness related courses in compliance with strict DHA requirements.
I progressed my career to become the spa manager for the Singaporean spa chain ‘Natureland’ which is based within the Rixos Premium hotel in Dubai. I managed the pre and soft opening of the spa and managed the daily operations along with a team of over twenty staff members. My duties included the hiring, training and coaching of spa therapists, reception, housekeeping and spa attendants to ensure that they maintained the required five star standard and that our guests received 5 star, exceptional service.

Here I educated students in ITEC & CIBTAC international beauty and spa qualifications to further their career in the beauty, spa and wellness industry.

I knew towards the end of working at Spa 1877 that I wanted more responsibility and so I began a search looking for a managerial role within the industry. I run the salon and work on my own at least one day a week. I open and close, cash up, organise promotions and events to increase our revenue, deal with any day to day problems and interview for new members of staff. I have introduced many new systems and brands in to the salon and also commission targets for staff which are working very well. Since I took over running the salon retail sales have increased, we are retaining clients and have new clients coming to us every day. I have substantially increased turn over within the salon in the last ten months and the feedback I have received from clients and staff members has been very positive.
