I am passionate about and fascinated with Complementary and Alternative Therapies and am undergoing some additional training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Thai Massage in the coming year.
I am an active member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists professional body and have attended seminars and completed professional development on adapting therapies for pregnancy, cancer and palliative care.

As sole proprietor of DriftWood Holistics I have been responsible for all aspects of running a healthcare business from accounting, to rotaing on extra staff when needed to managing stock and product sales levels.
I work from home and mobile, but primarily I am a freelance therapist and have had the opportunity to work in many environments such as high end boutique hotels, day spas, health clubs and the like. I have other therapists that are employed on a self employed freelance basis when needed whom I also manage. I am best suited to a busy spa managing other professional individuals.
I was a self employed body artist working throughout the UK for companies such as ASDA Walmart, the Ministry of Defence and the National Trust and I also spent some time employed as a body painter with Brittany Ferries.
I was responsible for all aspects of running a successful business as my Body Painting and Artistry became more than an activity for my clients but I ended up being hired as an entertainer do to the artistic nature of my work.
I have now trained someone to take over this business and i contribute and maintain he art as a hobby.

I enjoy body painting and art and play 10 musical instruments (not at the same time!) I love to read and learn, and am always looking for something to excel at next! I enjoy a challenge and like to be mentally stimulated.
I enjoy learning new skills and developing my knowledge base and have an ability to take on board information very quickly.
