As a fully trained Certified Lymphedema Therapist, I manage many cases of upper and lower extremity edema and Lymphedema, be it post cosmetic surgery or managing patients who have primary or secondary Lymphedema.
My passion is rehabilitative work, the joy of seeing a patient improve under your care just cannot be described.
​Objective: To use my specialized oncology massage therapy skills and therapeutic techniques to naturally alleviate pain, nausea and fatigue in cancer patients, while collaborating closely with the oncology team and patient at all stages of cancer treatment. To use my specialized knowledge of the lymphatic system as a massage therapist to help patients with edema, lymphedema and related conditions gain relief through lymphatic drainage using both superficial and deep flow techniques.

| Academy of Lymphatic Studies Each course participant will be trained in the four components of CDT and the management of lymphedema affecting a variety of peripheral body parts - upper and lower extremities, head and neck, exterior genitalia, trunkal swelling, pediatric lymphedema, post-surgical and post-traumatic swelling, lymphedema caused by chronic venous insufficiencies and other pathologies, lipedema. Upon completion of this course participants will be able to differentiate between a variety of peripheral edemas and understand the medical indications and contraindications of CDT. Furthermore the therapist will be able to establish a treatment plan for individuals with chronic extremity lymphedema and other conditions and perform the treatment accordingly. |
