Duties included:

I was employed by Bath House as assistant Manager to manage their new flagship store in Bowness. Using my aromatherapy knowledge I had a natural flare for recommending and retailing their products. I was also employed with the vision of launching treatments to compliment their products and taking the company to another level. This role was a way for me to focus on my sales techniques and ability. I also managed the day to day running of the shop and staff, eye-catching displays and cleanliness were a big part of this. As assistant manager I also kept on top of stock control, weekly ordering, financial figures and targets for the shop and staff. Close relationships with the other shops, head office and the Sedbergh factory was influential and we regularly participated in team building days, working on product knowledge, roleplay and learning more about the manufacturing aspect of the business

Duties included:

Jetty Spa is a newly launched spa which is exclusive to the guests at Gilpin hotel and lake house. Responsibilities included ensuring the smooth day to day running of a five star spa, managing staff and creating and delivering their appraisals. Writing job descriptions, contracts and formulating a stock take and SOP's. Designing treatment proto cols and signature touches for our treatment menu. Taking care of our bookings, guest communication, confirmation letters and meet and greet on arrival. Attending regular marketing meetings and looking at the budgets, and financial figures to see re occurring patterns. Working closely with other departments of the hotel especially reception and the lake house staff ensuring a five star service was delivered to all guests, VIP's and journalists which we had on a regular basis. I do have one personal review on request.

Jetty Spa produced their own products. We used organic bases from 'Soap Kitchen' and added our houseblend of lime, lemongrass and peppermint to each base to produce a range of products for hotel amenaties and for retail. We also produced products from scratch such as balms, creams, muscle soaks, salt scrubs and body oils, which were for professional use only.

Preparing material to engage teenagers in the bible and the world today, home life and difficulties they may be facing, ie drugs, alcohol, forgiveness, relationships, abandonment.

We provided a safe space both in schools and at clubs and events after school or in the holidays where young people can be free to express themselves and grow in their faith and be introduced to Christian values.

This included organising big events for the community such as NGM and Royal Foundlings coming to perform and show how music and dance can be a gift where you can show your love for God.

With running my own business I dont have a lot of time spare, but within the business Im always looking to develop my skills and keep up to date with new advanced treatments on offer.

I play in a local netball team and enjoy eating out, experiencing new cultures and flavours. I also have a passion for interior design which has reflected in the design of my salon and the changing of seasons etc.

My other passion which is a slow burner is travelling and seeing different parts of the world, meeting and learning from people which have experience and knowledge in things/life in which I dont.
