I am currently working as a Beauty Therapist at The Village Hotel Club spa in Blackpool. While here, I am using my Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy skills by carrying out treatments on a daily basis, full time. These treatments include Facials/ Advanced Facials, Massage, Waxing, Manicures, Pedicures, Gel polish, Waxing and High Definiton Brows. During my time here, I have also covered reception when needed and also helped with training new therapists when needed be. I have also been encouraged to retail products to help any clients that may want to continue using what I have used in certain treatments and also to gain a client base by rebooking people who have had treatments and promoting the spa on social media. While working as a beauty therapist, I have had to manage client expectations in treatments in regards to what they want out of it and also dealing with a range of complaints for example, clients not being able to have treatments due to medical conditions and wanting an explanation.
