Personal Statement

My best qualities are seeing the big picture, understanding where focus is needed and where talent can be realigned to improve the results of the business and the team morale. I see the strenghts in my team members that they don't even know they have and can really help them develop.

In the business, I quickly identify where opportunity is missed, correct it and am able to increase capture, revenue and utilisation of rooms and therapists.

My goals at present are to develop into a Regional or similar role where I lead the managers and guide them to develop themselves and their teams. I love learning and doing courses, I like to orchestrate the masterpiece.

I am open to seasonal roles as well as roles abroad or at sea. I would like a role for the next 5 years where I can combine all my skills learning and make a difference in an organization.

Duties included:

All roles combined at the moment as I am alone, so Director, Manager and suervisor roles, also looking after members in place of last Membership Director. But this is not what I'm looking for.

I thrived as a Regional Director in Six Senses and am looking for a similar role where I can lead Managers and liase with Gm's to take their spa's into a profitable and high quality place to work, I am looking for a similar role, cluster or regional, happy to start in a brand as Director and work my way up once more.

Duties included:

Overseeing the medical side of Chenot programs, the fitness centre and the spa, total of 4000 sqm and 40 staff during the season I also had the recreation team with outdoor sports under me.

We achieved the annual budget for the first time since opening in 2024, a great achievement, held our first retreat, which was then adapted by Chenot Switzerland.

September 2022 - February 2024 - Spa Director at Anatara Sir Bani Yas Island, Sir Bani Yas Island, UAE - United Arab Emirates, (5 Star Hotel Spa)

Duties included:

This was unique, it was a small spa with plans for renovation into an over water wellness sanctuary. I assisted the consultants with proposals and plans for the future spa.

I also oversaw operations of the 3 properties in the absence of the Operations manager (3-4 days per week).

Unfortunately, when the plan was scrapped after 18 months, we left.

Duties included:

Overseeing 6 properties in Vietnam, Cambodia and Maldives. Liasing weekly with managers to ensure their operational and financial procedures were in palce and up to date, assisting with marketing strategies to engage guests and increase capture rate. Retail training, english guidance.

Liasing with General Managers to help explain to Owners the direction of the spa and wellness features in their resorts.

Team meetings with my fellow regionals and our Director. We were a team of 6.

June 2017 - April 2019 - Regional Senior Manager at Amilla and Finolhu, Maldives, Maldives, (5 Star Hotel Spa)

Duties included:

Great cluster role, moving between Amilla & Finolhu 3 days on each, 1 day off. I had 2 assistant managers, 1 per island and they had a superviosr.

I managed the structure of the wellness including collaborating with the recreation team for wellness breakfasts with yoga, paddle boarding and beach volleyball with the spa and recreation teams.

With 7 brands in each property we had great visiting practitioners, pop ups and launched the first cbd massage in the Maldives.

Treetop wellness retreats in Amilla and Bubble overnights in Finolhu.

November 2016 - November 2017 - Spa Director at Mandara, Lily Beach Hotel & Spa, Maldives, (5 Star Hotel Spa)

Duties included:

This was my first role in the Maldives - the spa was called the same name as mine, Tamara spa by Mandara, so this was very enjoyable as all guests thought it was mine when they saw my name.

I had a young team of Indonesians that I could nuture, coach and guide to speak english, to handle guests and to learn to do their jobs well with 5* service, rebooking and retailing.

I reported to a regional director as we were a 3rd party spa and I always knew I wanted her job!

I love the outdoors in good weather - hiking, diving, free diving, whether it's up a mountain or under the sea, I've never quite been able to choose, I love and need both.

I tried skiing last year and that was also fun, I havn't spent much time in cold weather so not much opportunity to try.

Travelling, exploring new places and cultures. I love food, cooking, coffee experiences and dancing/music.

I also like to study and read - all things related to health, wellness and life.

Yoga of course, pranayam and meditation and I love to try different modalities of healing and wellness.
