Personal Statement
I am very passionate about hairdressing and have been studying it for the past 3 years. I am so eager to learn more about the hairdressing industry and would love to be working in a salon environment as a stylist and be as part of a team. I am hard working confident person. I am friendly, approachable and a good team worker. I am able to work independently recognising what needs to be completed. I am honest, reliable and an excellent time keeper. I treat all people equally and get along with everyone from all walks of lives and different backgrounds, I am a people person, bright and bubbly, I am keen to learn and always eager to please. I have no concerns should I feel the need to consult senior management regarding any issues, work related or others. I have good communication skills and can take criticism well and like to add my own ideas and use my initiative.

I am currently working at KW hairdressing doing a Barbering apprenticeship. My roles are to greet all clients that come through the door and to introduce myself to them, taking their coats and offering them a drink. I also gowned them up and asked them politely to take a seat. My other roles include answering the phone at the reception and booking appointments. I maintain the cleanliness of the salon at all times making sure all products, equipment and furniture is clean to make the salon look at its very best and ensure all job lists are completed. My other roles include taking the clients to the back wash after their consultation with the stylist and washing, completing a full head massage to the client and preparing for the sylist. I also assist the stylists by mixing there colours, completing some regrowths, combing through colours and blow-dries. I assist the stylists to keep them on time in all ways possible. I also have a client base in hair-up dos, and blow dries. I am also trained 1 to 1 once every other week and i am enrolled on a Level 2 Barbering course as an in-between year to level 3 ladies. In my spare time at home when i am not in work i advertise myself and have my own client based work i do at home to gain experience and to earn extra money for myself. This includes full head colours, regrowths, cut and blow dries, highlights and lowlights, and hair-up dos.
